Celebrating success

As the year draws to a close, students from the Support Unit came together to celebrate their hard work and achievements with a much-anticipated Rewards Day. The day was a reflection of the values they have upheld all year: being responsible, respectful, and successful learners.

This special day saw our students venture to three different exciting locations, creating memories and enjoying well-deserved recognition for their dedication and growth.

Year 7: A Movie Adventure

Mr. Brookfield and Ms. Caroline led a group of Year 7 students to the movies, where they joined their peers from the mainstream Year 7 classes. This experience allowed students to enjoy some downtime, bond with friends, and immerse themselves in Moana 2.

Year 8, 9, and 10: Jamberoo Cool Down

For our Year 8, 9, and 10 students, the destination was none other than Jamberoo Action Park. Under the guidance of Mr. McSwiggan, Mrs. Neupane, Ms Cardinale, Mr. Dom, Mr. Ford, and Ms. Marketa, the students spent the day navigating water slides, wave pools, and exciting rides. It was a perfect way to unwind and celebrate their incredible efforts throughout the year.

Year 7 and Seniors: Hijinx Hotel and Holey Moley Adventures

Meanwhile, another group of Year 7 students, along with our senior students, enjoyed an unforgettable experience at the Hijinx Hotel and Holey Moley. Guided by Mrs. Borg, Mr. Le, Ms. Carmen, Ms. June, and Ms. Belinda, they participated in thrilling escape and challenge room activities. The event tested their teamwork and problem-solving skills in the most fun and engaging way.

A big thank you goes out to the students for consistently demonstrating Cecil’s core values and earning this rewarding day. A heartfelt thank you also to the dedicated staff who made this day possible and ensured everyone had a safe and enjoyable time.

Here’s to celebrating a year of achievements and looking forward to even more success in 2025!
