Invigor8 Education Program 

At Wollert Secondary College in 2024, we have partnered with Y-Whittlesea to offer a select group of Year 8 students the opportunity to participate in the Invigor8ing Education program. This semester-based program provides our students with hands-on experience in vital areas such as work readiness, responsibility, confidence, communication, teamwork, and problem solving.

We are thrilled to share that our second group of our students in 2024 have successfully completed their work experience program at Melbourne Polytechnic in the Trade Stream.

A special congratulations to Noah Rajab and Milad Enaya for their exceptional achievements.

Program Highlights:

• Noah – “Learning how to cut the correct measurements of wood and completing Carpentry projects”
• Milad – “Making new friends, trying new things such as Carpentry and Painting, and the experience”

Skills Developed:

• Noah – Independence
• Milad – Communication

During the program, our students had the incredible opportunity to attend two immersive excursions, one at Melbourne Polytechnic Heidelberg and another at Melbourne Polytechnic Preston. These excursions provided a wide array of hands-on activities, such as bricklaying and more. Through these experiences, our students not only enhanced their practical skills but also gained valuable insights into potential career paths.

Our students have demonstrated remarkable dedication, effort, and resilience throughout the program. They have shown great courage in stepping outside their comfort zones and taking on new challenges. As they move forward, we are excited to continue watching them grow and thrive in their future endeavours.

We look forward to seeing the next group of students take part in this outstanding program in 2025.
