Music Program

Wollert Secondary College was invited to play a song at Lalor North Secondary Colleges annual “Music Festival” on the 16th of October,

A team of excelling music students were selected to rehearse a modern take of “The Rhythm of the Night” called “Of the Night” and perform it to an audience of over 500 people. Despite a lot of nervous energy, the performance was a great success full of loud cheers and applause from the audience. Everyone involved had a memorable night, developing their stage etiquette alongside upholding and representing the WSC school values, in particular 'be brave'.

The same team of student performers were invited back to Lalor North Secondary College on the 29th of November to undertake a recording session and track the same song “Of the Night” as well as having enough time to record “Viva La Vida”. The students now have two professionally recorded songs and did so well overall during both excursions that they received some pizza for lunch as a reward for their high levels of effort, bravery and behaviour.
