Principal Reflection
As we approach the end of another year at Wollert Secondary College, I would like to take a moment to reflect on what has been an exceptional year of growth, learning, and community. It has been a year filled with challenges and achievements, and I am incredibly proud of all our students and staff for the dedication, resilience, and commitment they have shown throughout the year.
To our students – thank you for your hard work, enthusiasm, and the unique contributions you bring to our school community. This year, we have seen you grow not only academically but also as individuals. Whether it was in the classroom, interschool sport, or through our instrumental music program and performance at Lalor North Secondary College, you’ve demonstrated our school values of being kind, being brave, being safe, and being true. Your passion for learning and your drive to succeed have made Wollert Secondary College a place of inspiration and opportunity.
To our staff – I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and acknowledge the incredible team we have here at Wollert Secondary College. Your unwavering dedication to providing the best possible education and support to our students has not gone unnoticed. Our students are incredibly lucky to have such amazing teachers who inspire them in their learning and wellbeing every day. The passion and professionalism you bring to your roles have made a real difference in the lives of our students, and I am sure parents would agree that we are all grateful for your commitment to their success. Having only been here a short time, I have been inspired by your hard work and collaborative spirit, which helps create the positive, inclusive environment we all enjoy at Wollert Secondary College.
To our families and the broader Wollert community – your ongoing support has been invaluable. It truly takes a village to raise a child, and we are so fortunate to have such a strong partnership with you. Thank you for your involvement, your encouragement, and for entrusting us with the privilege of educating your children.
This term has been particularly busy, with our Step-Up Week and Year 7 Orientation Day, both of which were key events in preparing our students for the year ahead. These transition activities help build excitement for 2025 and set the foundation for continued learning and success.
As we close out the year, I encourage all of our students to take time to reflect on their achievements and the lessons they have learned. No matter the challenge, each of you has made progress, and every step forward is something to be proud of. Remember, success looks different for everyone, and every effort counts.
I am also excited to announce that I will be staying on as Acting Principal for 2025. I am looking forward to continuing my work with the wonderful students, staff, and families at Wollert Secondary College, and together, I am confident we will make 2025 an even greater year of growth and success.
I would like to wish all our students and families a restful and enjoyable holiday season. I hope you return in 2025 feeling refreshed and ready for another year of learning and growth.
Thank you for being part of our wonderful community. I look forward to what the new year will bring!
Warm regards,
Kristy Harvey
