Parents & Friends

Welcome back to a New Year in the HT community.

The P&F Committee would like to thank you all for your support in 2024 and hope you all had a wonderful Summer Holiday.

Last year was a very busy one and included:

  • Welcome BBQ: A fantastic evening with a BBQ and a bit of chilled-out entertainment in the quad getting to know the newcomers and catching up with old HT friends.
  • Hot Cross Bun Drive: A new one last year, teaming up with Emerald Village Bakery to ensure everyone had plenty of sweet treats for the Easter break.
  • Mothers’ Day Breakfast: 2024 event raised $630 which was donated to the Melbourne Women's Foundation.
  • Choir Brunch: We cooked a brunch for the choir ensembles at rehearsals for their Winter Concert.
  • Honey Drive: This Annual Drive raised another $800, filling our homes with Mornington Peninsula Honey.
  • The Addams Family Candy Bar: The Candy Bar was bigger than ever last year with new record sales. This allowed us to buy $500 of books for each of the Junior and Senior libraries.
  • 2024 Movie Night Extravaganza: We joined up with Showbiz Cinemas @ Pinewood for a Junior and Senior screening of some new release movies.
  • Father’s Day Breakfast: Another success, raising $710 which was donated to The Long Run, a fundraising initiative of the Prostate Cancer Council.
  • Junior School Ball Games: Another Ball games BBQ was held, a bit smaller last year but still a great turnout.
  • Annual Pie Drive: We teamed up again with Emerald Village Bakery to get pies just in time for the AFL Grand Final.

These events helped us meet our target, raising enough funds to order a new BBQ to be used at events by the P&F and kids for their fundraising. This allows us to have a separate BBQ for Vegetarian options.

And last but not least:

Christmas Carols: Our Grand Finale for the year, closing out with the P&F Christmas Carols. Last year, the sub-committee, led by Julie Warren, went and took this event to a whole new level in its 2nd year. From sourcing a fabulous Christmas Dinner (with all the trimmings) which was enjoyed by many of us, running a busy Candy Bar, and even turning the school into a Christmas wonderland with Santa arches and Christmas lights. I am sure you will agree it was a wonder to behold.

Thanks also to the Music and PAC departments who helped make the night shine and bring out the Christmas Spirit in the community. Santa and his elves even joined in the festivities.

Welcome Picnic BBQ

The New BBQ will be put to use for the first time!
