Junior School

Head of Junior School

The TC Spirit is alive and well!

This week, we have all been reminded of the wonderful community which we are a part of at Trinity College. As staff, it was our pleasure to see so many smiling faces arrive on Tuesday morning ready for the academic year. There was a real buzz within the Junior School as boys reconnected with their mates and welcomed each other back to school.

Wednesday provided a special moment for the 114 new Junior School students and the elected Year Six Prefects as they were piped into the whole College assembly. Marcus Erceg, Junior School Head Prefect, did a fantastic job in his role as master of ceremony, making us all proud in the way he represented the Junior School. We look forward to watching all our Year Six boys continue to grow in their role as leaders as they strive to serve our community through their actions as Men for Others.

Parent – Teacher Communication

Throughout the day our classroom teachers are focused on delivering the curriculum content and assisting your son with his academic and personal growth. When emailing your son’s teacher during school hours, please be mindful they may not see your communication as they are teaching. As per College guidelines, staff will respond to your email within 24 hours. In the case of an emergency or a general school enquiry, please call the Junior School office 9219 1131 or email junior.school@trinity.wa.edu.au

After- School Supervision

Please be advised of supervision provided after school.

- Boys will be supervised in the Junior School Undercover Area until they are collected by an adult or older sibling.

- Boys who catch the bus will be walked to the bus stop by a duty teacher.

- Parents can use street parking on Salaini Ave and boys may walk safely to their parents' car once they have seen them.

A reminder the car park near Junior School is for staff parking only. For the safety of all students, it is imperative that this is not used as a pickup/ drop off point.

Any boy not collected will be taken to the Junior School library under a duty teacher's supervision.

- Boys need to be collected in person from the JS library.

3.50pm - 5.00pm:

- Boys will be taken to the Senior School Library.*

- They will need to be collected by an adult.**

* Homework Club in the Senior School is Monday – Thursday only.

** Boys involved in swimming lessons at 3.30pm can walk over to the pool at 3.20pm. Boys with a swimming lesson later than 3.30pm must attend homework club and have a note in their diary giving permission for them to independently walk themselves to the pool prior to their lesson.

I have been really impressed with the character and levels of respect within the Junior School. Welcomed by students and parents, I certainly feel a part of the TC community.

God bless,

 Student Achievement

Alexander Bowden-Jones (6W) competed with his team, “Enchanted” from Perth Magic All Stars representing WA at the national cheerleading event hosted by AASCF, on the Gold Coast in December 2024.

Placing 4th in a division of 9 in the Youth age group, they were awarded a spot on the podium. A great reward for the training that Alexander and his team put in. Perth Magic All Stars is a cheerleading and dance studio that is also co-owned by Trinity Old Boy Nick Guglielmino (Class of ‘11) and his wife, Rachael.
