Stefania Mantinioti  - Secondary Sub School Leader

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am delighted to welcome you all to a brand-new school year! I am excited for the journey ahead and the incredible opportunities our students will have this year. We look forward to working together to support your child’s learning, growth and success.

One of the most exciting aspects of this year is our Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) programs, designed to provide hands-on learning and real-world experience.

Students will have the opportunity to develop valuable industry skills through:

🍞 SBAT Baking – Gaining experience in baking and pastry-making.

🍽 VET Hospitality – Gaining experience in food service, customer interaction, and professional cooking.

🎨 VET Visual Arts – Exploring creativity through various artistic mediums.

📦 SBAT Supply Chain Operations – Learning about logistics, warehousing, and supply management.

In addition, we are thrilled about our Future Ready Classrooms, which will engage students in excursions linked to the Victorian Curriculum

Secondary students will also take part in a variety of exciting Excursions & Incursions, Living Skills and Canine Comprehension programs that will support them to develop essential navigation and life skills, as well as enhance their Personal and Social Skills, which will foster independence and confidence.

I encourage you all to attend your child's SSG Meeting, which will take place between 10 - 28 February. These meetings are a valuable opportunity for you to meet with teachers, discuss student progress, and set learning goals for the year ahead. We encourage all families to take part and work closely with us to support student success.

Important Reminders:

-Please check your child's communication diary daily.

-Please ensure your child has a hat at school.

-Please ensure that all belongings are clearly labelled, particularly drink bottles, lunch boxes, clothing, and shoes.

As we begin this new chapter, I encourage all students to seize every opportunity, challenge themselves, and make the most of the exciting experiences ahead. Let’s make this year one to remember!

Kind regards,

Stefania Mantinioti

ROOM 19

Exciting updates from Classroom 19 (newsletter)

As we begin this new term, we are thrilled to welcome new students, new teachers and staff, and a fresh environment to Room 19. With change comes both challenges and opportunities, and together, we will grow into better versions of ourselves.

This semester, we are committed to building stronger connections with each other, learning how to express ourselves, and embracing personal challenges in a positive, supportive atmosphere. Our goal is to learn and grow together, making the most of every opportunity while having fun along the way.

We are also excited to announce that, starting this term, Room 19 will be responsible for managing the entire school’s Breakfast Club program. This is both a challenge and a fantastic learning opportunity, and we have full confidence that our students will do a wonderful job in fulfilling this important task.

Here’s to a semester full of growth, learning, and collaboration!
