Dear Parents and Caregivers,
To ensure the safety of all our students during drop-off and pick-up times, we kindly remind you to observe the designated "No Stopping" and "No Parking" signs within the school zone.
Why is this important?
Stopping or parking in these restricted areas creates dangerous situations for students and other road users. It can obstruct visibility, increase traffic congestion, and put children at risk as they move between vehicles and the school grounds.
Please remember:
No Stopping means you must not stop your vehicle at all, even briefly, in these areas.
No Parking means you cannot leave your vehicle unattended in these areas. There is NO PARKING in our Drop off Zone between 8:00am and 9:30am and between 2:00pm to 3:30pm
Rules for Adults Exiting Vehicles in a "No Parking" School Zone
In school zones, adults must not exit their vehicle if parked or stopped in a "No Parking" zone, as this means the vehicle is unattended. If you need to get out of your car to escort your child to or from the school, you must park legally in a designated parking area where stopping and parking are permitted.
No Illegal U-turns Near School Entrances
For the safety of all our students and the smooth flow of traffic around the school, we ask that all drivers refrain from making illegal U-turns in the staff car park driveway and the T-intersection at the pedestrian crossing.
There is a roundabout located just a few hundred metres away, which is the safe and legal place to turn around.
We also want to remind all parents and caregivers that abusive behaviour towards staff when being asked to comply with parking rules is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
Please note that all vehicles illegally stopping or parking in these zones have been and will continue to be reported to Fairfield City council rangers via a designated App.
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our school environment safe and respectful for everyone. Please use the designated parking areas and follow the instructions of staff on duty during peak times.
Thank you for helping us keep our students safe.
