Assistant Principals Report

Welcome to Head Start and the 2026 academic year.

It has been amazing to see our students step up as they progress to their 2026 classes.  Students in the senior school have settled in well to their new subjects.  VCE students will have holiday homework to complete, and we ask all senior students to ensure they have read their English texts prior to starting back in 2026.

On Thursday last week we held the Year 12 Valedictory Evening at Maffco.  It was a lovely night marking the end of 13 years of compulsory schooling for our graduating class of 2025.  2025 year 12 students will get their VCE results on Thursday 11th December.  We encourage them to come into the school that day, to meet with the careers team for change of VTAC preferences. 

Our 2025 Presentation Night is taking place on Monday 15th December at 7pm at Maffra Memorial Hall.  2025 year 12 students will be presented with their VCE or VM certificates on the night, and any students who are receiving an award will get a letter inviting them to attend.  All students and families are welcome at presentation night; it is a great night to showcase all the achievements of our students and also features the presentation of the prestigious annual Maffra Secondary College Malmo Tertiary Scholarship.  We ask students to arrive at 6:30pm to allow adequate time for seating and setup.
