Upper Secondary Years

As the year comes to a close, we reflect on the many ways our school value of Be Kind has shaped daily life in our learning community. We have watched students show kindness to themselves by building resilience, trying their best, and celebrating their achievements. They have shown kindness to others through genuine friendships, thoughtful choices, and a willingness to support their peers. Their care for the environment - looking after our shared spaces and practising sustainable habits - has also been wonderful to see. This value has truly been lived, not just learned, and we are incredibly proud of our students for embracing it so wholeheartedly.

We also celebrate the remarkable efforts of our students throughout the year. Their curiosity and enthusiasm have brought energy into every classroom. Whether working independently, teaming up with friends, or proudly sharing their learning, our students have shown growth in confidence, resilience, and creativity. It has been a joy to watch them explore new challenges and take pride in everything they have achieved.

Our learning programs this year have been filled with rich and engaging themes - Our Community, Into the Wild, Wonderful Weather, and Toys and Games. Each topic has offered opportunities for students to connect with the world around them, build important skills, and learn through hands-on experiences and creative projects. Their excitement during these units has been contagious, and it has been wonderful to see how deeply they have engaged with their learning.

None of this would be possible without the incredible dedication of our staff. Their hard work, teamwork, and unwavering commitment to student learning have ensured that every child feels supported, challenged, and cared for. We extend our deepest thanks to each member of the team for bringing warmth, professionalism, and passion to our school every single day.

We would also like to acknowledge our families for the incredible support you provide. Whether attending events, communicating with teachers, or reinforcing learning at home, you play an essential role in each child’s journey. Your partnership helps create a strong, connected school community, and we are truly grateful for the trust and support you continue to place in us.

Looking ahead to next year, we are excited to introduce our new senior secondary pathways: the ASDAN program, the Victoria Pathways Certificate (VPC), and Student-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBAT) opportunities. These pathways will provide students with practical, engaging, and personalised learning experiences that foster independence and prepare them for future success. We look forward to another year of growth, learning, and shared achievements.

I wish all families a restful, joyful, and safe summer holiday ahead.
