Student Voice &

Positive Environment

As we come to the end of the school year, I would like to take a moment to celebrate the many ways students have contributed to shaping our school community. Student voice and agency has continued to guide our work, and we are proud of the growth, leadership, and initiative shown across all year levels.

Throughout the year, students have shared ideas, opinions, and perspectives that have strengthened our learning environment. Whether through PIVOT surveys, Attitude to School survey, classroom discussions, leadership groups, or informal conversations, student feedback has played an important role in guiding school decisions and improving daily experiences.

Students have taken part in a variety of leadership opportunities—big and small. From representing peers in meetings, to helping organise events, to supporting the wellbeing of others, each contribution has helped build a positive and inclusive school culture. We acknowledge and thank all students who stepped forward to lead, support, and inspire their peers.

This year, many students demonstrated agency by taking ownership of their learning, exploring personal interests, and driving their own projects. Whether working independently, in groups, or through class activities, students showed creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to try new things. These efforts reflect the growing confidence and capability of our learners.

A key highlight of the year has been the sense of connection and collaboration across the school. Students have played an essential role in building a community where everyone feels heard, respected, and valued. Their contributions—academic, social, and cultural—have helped create a vibrant and supportive environment for all.

As we plan for the year ahead, Wyndham Central College remains committed to expanding opportunities for student voice and agency. This includes continued involvement in decision-making, more platforms for student ideas, and greater choice and ownership in learning. We look forward to working together to make next year even more engaging and student-centred.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all students for their energy, ideas, and leadership this year. To all families, thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement.

Wishing everyone a safe, restful, and enjoyable break.
