Stage 3 Giving Back This Christmas

Our Stage 3 students have truly embodied the spirit of giving this festive season! After baking delicious cakes and running a successful cake stall to raise funds, they headed to our local Coles with a shopping list and a set budget in hand. Their mission? To fill Christmas Hampers for St Vincent de Paul, supporting families who may be struggling to provide a meal on Christmas Day.

Thanks to their hard work and generosity, we managed to fill 25 hampers! This incredible effort has left us all with a deep sense of accomplishment and gratitude for the opportunity to give back to those in need. We are so proud of our students and their commitment as Youth Ministers to making a positive difference in our community.

The Seniors visit the Seniors!!

Last Friday the Holy Family Seniors joined the Senior Citizen group for a sing along, some dancing and some great conversation and a chat! We absolutely loved our visit and look forward to doing this more in the new year.

Meaning: Calm means being peaceful, quiet, and not upset or excited. It can also mean to make someone or something feel peaceful and relaxed.

How Can We Be Calm At School?

  • Take deep breaths when you feel worried or stressed.
  • Find a quiet spot for a few minutes, like the library or a calm corner.
  • Think happy or peaceful thoughts, like your favourite place or activity.

Spark Day – Sensational Science

Last Thursday, five students from Stage 2 attended a SPARK Day at Berowra. We did experiments about fermentation, body DNA and body cells.

After recess we did five fun experiments. We made hand sanitiser, we saw our cells, we made our own virus model, we put germ gel on our hands and then we washed our hands and checked if there were any germs with a sensor.

We also looked at different types of water: creek water, tank water and river water, then with a microscope we checked which type of water had the most bacteria. Surprisingly tank water had the most bacteria. After lunch we made posters about the different stations.

It was a great day and we all enjoyed it so much.

St Leo's - Year 7 2026 Orientation Day

Our Year 6 students enjoyed a fantastic day on campus for St Leo’s annual Discovery Dash. They explored the grounds, met new friends, and experienced a taste of high school life through a range of exciting taster lessons. Students raced CO₂ dragsters in TAS, decorated (and ate!) cookies in Food Tech, tried African drumming in Music, and created Japanese origami. They also took part in Art, Science, Drama and Sport activities. It was a vibrant, hands-on day with something for everyone—and plenty to look forward to next year!
