Tomorrow - Friday 5th December is a PUPIL FREE DAY.
This week has been the last week for lunch orders.
School Council

Our final school council meeting of the year was on Tuesday night. I acknowledge and thank our school council members for their support and time commitment throughout this year. Participating in regular meetings and leading valuable discussion and influence throughout the year.
Whole School Transition Day
The State-wide Transition Day falls on Tuesday 9th December this year. On this day our students from Grades 1 to 6 will step up to their new grade for the day and meet their new teacher for next year. Our 2026 Preps will also be joining us on this day for a half day. Please mark this day in your calendar.
School Values
At our recent Berry St training staff learnt about the need for the school community (staff, students, families) to really understand and 'live' the school values. It brought up some great discussion about our current values and whether they now suit our future direction. This discussion continued at our school council meeting and we are seriously considering changing to new ones. At this stage we have a couple of suggestions-
-Work Hard
-Be Kind
-Be your Best
If you have any thoughts or ideas please send these through over the next few days so we can take these to the students for their input.
Workforce Plan
Our 2026 staff listing will be made available in our next newsletter, this will detail our teaching teams for the year ahead. Students will have a chance to meet their 2026 classroom teacher on Tuesday 9th December.
Volunteer’s 'thank you' morning Tea

We are extremely fortunate to have such a supportive community that is willing to help out in so many ways. We will be holding a ‘Volunteer’s Morning Tea’ on Monday 15th December in the Library at 11:00 am. If you have assisted in any way this year we would love you to join the staff to celebrate a successful year. ( Morning reading, excursions, sports days, school council etc.)
Final Assembly
We are excited to invite families to a special awards assembly on Tuesday 16th December at 2:00pm to celebrate the end of the year. The assembly will be held in our BER building.

Stall opportunity - Christmas night
If you are interested or know of somebody who would like to set up a stall on our family Christmas night on Tuesday the 16th please contact the office to arrange. (no cost)
Parent Payments:
To provide high-quality programs, our school relies heavily on the financial support of our community. These contributions fund essential items such as stationery, classroom materials, digital learning subscriptions, student devices, and photocopying. School funding is a complex topic that could fill an entire newsletter. We sincerely thank our families for your ongoing financial support, enabling us to resource the high standard of school experience delivered at RPS.
Christmas Raffle
Don't forget to collect and sell some tickets for our Christmas Raffle (formally known as Monster Raffle). Thanks to Nichol Trading for their generous donation of all 3 RBN vouchers. We have 10 prizes in total and the raffle will be drawn at our End of year Assembly on Tuesday 16th December (save the date)! Please contact the office to collect a book of tickets or buy a single ticket. Tickets are in books of 5 and are $5 each. Any unsold tickets must be returned.
