Working Bee Update

What a beautiful Autumn day it was yesterday for the working bee!  An enthusiastic team of parents, carers, and children had a productive morning, working together to focus on: 

• weeding and mulching in the garden beds around Sprout 
• weeding and mulching in the Olive garden near the Stella stairs
• tackling the plentiful weeds along the Culloden Street entrance
• sweeping and clearing paths around the school
• picking up many forgotten sports balls, items of clothing, and rubbish

It was fantastic to see many families attend the working bee for the first time, continuing to grow the BNW community spirit.  A super large thanks to Emma, Daiane, Fiona M, Hugh H, Brad V, Imren B, Courtney Z, Hugh, Elise D, Heather M, Ann B, Tess A, Aaron R, Anna, Adrian, Kristy Lee T, Prem M, Kate, Nick, Alice, Ruth T, Danny N, and all the kids (very impressive wheelbarrow work and mulch moving achieved by many Grade 1 stars!).  The efforts of everyone resulted in a very full trailer of weeds! 

And of course, another shout out to those who supplied the delicious morning tea spread: Tess, Heather, and Ruth.

Congratulations to the four door prize winners who are now ready to beautify their own gardens with the packets of tulip and daffodil bulbs they won.
