Wellbeing Report

Eight years ago my family and I were in a serious car accident. It was the day after my daughters 5th birthday, one day we were celebrating life the next we nearly lost it. When I look back at that day and how it panned out, the thing I’m most proud of is that we were happy. As a family we took our time to get ready, we laughed and gave each other plenty of cuddles and had a good morning.
There have been a few times in my life where I have had near misses and could have died. Each time they are a reminder that life is short. We all know this, we all have stories that we can share about lost loved ones or near misses but as time moves on we let our emotions steer our lives and we hold on to grudges, we get angry and fight with everyone in our lives. We forget how precious life is, how short and that we are creating memories of ourselves for our loved ones.
We have no control over when it will end, we have no control of how. But, we do have control of our now. What do you do with your family that makes all of you smile? Do more of that. Today we have life, choose to live it. Let go of the pain others have caused you, let your kids grow up in a family that shows love towards them, show them that they are precious to you, it doesn’t cost a lot to give your child a hug or a reminder of how proud you are of them.
Breakfast Club
Winter is here and so are our warm breakfast options. We have small bowls of canned spaghetti and honey porridge available alongside our regular toast and fruit options. So many children have been attending breakfast club lately that we have been running out of toast. Please remind your child that if they want to have something to eat before school that they need to head straight down to the German Room. While the music for the bell is playing there are only fruit cups and milk drinks available.
