Principal's Report
Dear Parents,
On behalf of Jess and both Rach’s, we would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the entire Woori Primary School community for your support during our time as acting principals.
From day one, we’ve felt so welcomed. Your flexibility, understanding, and encouragement have made this experience incredibly rewarding. We've thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to be part of the amazing things happening across the school — from engaging classroom learning to creative student discussions and everything in between.
It has been a true privilege to work alongside our dedicated teachers and staff, supporting them in creating an environment where they can thrive as the passionate educators they are. We’ve also appreciated the chance to connect with parents and carers — whether in passing or in more complex conversations — and build stronger relationships with our wider school community.
This experience has been both fulfilling and inspiring, and we are grateful to be part of a school that values connection, collaboration, and care. Thank you once again for making our time in this role so special.
We’re thrilled to share the joyful news of the arrival of Baby Henley! Mrs. Thatcher is now home, resting and enjoying precious moments with her newest little one. We wish the Thatchers all the best in this exciting new adventure as a family of four. 💕
It’s a busy time in classrooms for both teachers and students as we are in the thick of assessments. We’ve been incredibly proud to see the progress students have made – not just academically, but in their confidence, independence and love for learning. It’s a real privilege to witness their growth and celebrate their efforts and achievements. Well done students and teachers!
Hoop Time brought out the best in our students this year! With record numbers attending tryouts, it was fantastic to see students of all abilities giving it a go. Mr. Gibbons had a tough time narrowing down selections, with so much talent on display — but even more impressive was the sportsmanship, courage, and team spirit shown throughout.
A huge congratulations to everyone who participated!
It's been a busy few weeks across the school! Here are the key dates coming up:
Friday 13th June - School photos
Tuesday 17th June - Jess White is back
Wednesday 18th - Prep 2026 information night & grade 6s visit UYSC
Why did the teacher write the instructions on the window?
Because she wanted them to be very CLEAR!
I am a number. Multiply me by 4, then subtract 6, and you’ll get 18. What number am I?
If you think you know the answer, come and tell us!
