Principals message

Dear Kilberry Families,

Term 2 has been a vibrant and exciting time of learning and growth at Kilberry!

Our classrooms are alive with curiosity and creativity, as students engage deeply in their learning across all year levels. It’s been a joy to see the progress students are making and the enthusiasm they bring to every day.

This term we celebrated our Mother’s Day Walk, a beautiful morning of connection and gratitude. It was wonderful to see so many families joining us to celebrate the special people in our students’ lives.

We’ve also welcomed a new team of PLAY Leaders who are now supporting positive play in the yard. These students have stepped up as role models, ensuring recess and lunch are inclusive, fun, and safe for everyone.

Our student leaders continue to impress with their weekly uniform and yard checks, helping to keep our school looking its best and speaking of which, our students’ uniform has been looking fantastic this term. Thank you to families for your ongoing support in maintaining our high standards.

Over the school holidays, our amazing team worked hard behind the scenes. Gardens were tidied, the decking classroom were freshly painted, and our school bricks were pressure washed to bring a fresh look to our grounds. A big thank you to Steve, who has started repainting the timber and repurposing the rocks to be placed in the garden beds around the school, it’s already making a big difference!

Looking ahead, we’ll be starting some landscaping projects at the front of the school and in the Grade 1/2 playground area, following the removal of rocks. We’re excited to create more inviting outdoor spaces for our students.

One of the many highlights this year has been our Senior Sports Program. I am incredibly proud of our senior students for the sportsmanship, skill, and humility they continue to demonstrate. We’ve celebrated multiple wins across events — including our boys' soccer team, who remain undefeated so far!

Thank you to all our students, staff, and families for making Kilberry such a strong, connected community. Term 2 is flying by, and we look forward to even more learning, celebration, and growth ahead
