Performing Arts News:    Moana Jr.

The countdown is well and truly on for the 2023 whole school production of Moana Jr. The cast have been busily rehearsing their parts over the holiday break and will continue with full school rehearsals on Thursday this week. While most preparation has occurred during Performing Arts Specialist Classes, rehearsal days have required all classes to be called as needed, as students have continued classroom learning activities with minimal disruption. Students with cast roles have been called upon as needed in order to rehearse their roles as well. I am delighted to report that the show is coming together beautifully, thanks to the support of all of the students and staff at St Brendan’s; Parents and carers thank you for your support at home too. We can't wait to share our learning with you all as we showcase the talents of the students!

Production Day

As this day is tightly scheduled due to the two performances all students will be required to be dropped at school at 8:15 am on Monday, October 16 for their bus departures. These details have been previously advised via Operoo, Skoolbag and the newsletters.

Students who are performing in cast/main roles for the evening performance are required to arrive at 6:00 pm and all other students are asked to arrive from 6:20 pm, but no later than 6:50 pm. The evening performance is expected to conclude at approximately 8:00 pm. Please note these slight changes in timing around the evening performance. A Skoolbag notification was also posted last week regarding several other important final reminders for Moana. Jr. Please read this communication carefully and liaise with your child’s class teacher or myself in the event of further queries

Families who are yet to do so, please ensure that you have accepted the recent excursion permission form notified via Operoo for our production rehearsal and performances.
