Student Achievements

Year 12 PE Volleyball Tournament

The two Year 12 PE classes recently participated in an Interschool Volleyball Tournament during Week 7. This tournament formed part of the students’ assessment for their ‘Group Dynamics Task’. This involved each student taking on a coaching role within their team. They were either a Tactical Coach, Technical Coach, Motivational Coach, or Fitness Coach. Throughout the day our Endeavour students showed outstanding support for each other, including supporting their opposition Endeavour teams. Out of 25 teams our Endeavour teams placed 2nd, 10th and 12th, a fantastic achievement. Students will now be able to utilise the video technology from ‘The Lights’ that has captured all their games from various angles.

Community Basketball

Last Saturday our U14 Community Basketball team played the Modbury Predators in the Div 5 Grand Final, securing the win by 11 points! What a fantastic achievement.

Congratulations boys!

Illuminate Entrepreneurial Challenge

Ten of our students recently competed in the Illuminate Entrepreneurial Challenge at Adelaide University. They worked under great pressure, designing business solutions, collaborating with entrepreneurs, creating business plans and marketing campaigns, pitching to 'sharks' and prototyping.

I am thrilled to say that the Endeavour Connect SA Team (Bogdan Novakovic, Miles Pennington and Harrison Camp, and Aiden Young) finished first, winning the Overall Challenge and Best Pitch.

The All-Facts Year 10 Team (Hai Tran, Thomas Huynh, Jamie Yii, Hayden Huynh, An Nguyen and Kadison McLellan) came 3rd overall and won Best Business Case and Financials.

All of these students worked so hard and achieved extraordinarily. What an exciting challenge to be part of and to return to Endeavour with awards and wins under our belt proves how entrepreneurial our students can be.

Geography Photography Competition

Congratulations to the following students who have won prizes in the Endeavour Geography Photo Competition, which was open to all

Year 7, 8 and 9 students. The theme of the competition was “Changing Human and Physical Landscapes”.

Justin Biner (Year 8)

Charlotte Dahlenburg (Year 9)

Ashleigh Hill (Year 8)

Keadon Tea (Year 8)

Jazlyn Yii (Year 8)

All winners received a certificate, a monetary prize of $10, and were entered into the South Australian Geography Photo Competition (organised by the Geography Teacher’s Association of South Australia).

Charlotte and Jazlyn have been successful in getting through to the final stage of judging for the state competition.

Their photos will be displayed in a public exhibition at the State Library of South Australia in Adelaide from 16 October to 17 December 2023.

Many entries were received from across the state, so it is an outstanding achievement to have reached this stage. The girls will attend an Awards Ceremony on Saturday 28 October in the Institute Gallery of the Institute Building at the State Library, where they will receive certificates and the final winner will be announced.

Congratulations!

Samantha Perryman

On September 19, Debating SA announced that Samantha Perryman, due to scoring the highest number of points in the Year 9 division across the 2023 season, has won Year 9 Debater of the Year! This is an exceptional achievement as there were some 185 debaters in the Year 9 division this year. As a Debater of the Year Award recipient, Samantha has been invited to attend an Awards Ceremony to be presented with a medallion by Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia and Debating SA Patron, to recognise this achievement.

Samantha will attend the Awards Ceremony on Thursday November 2nd at Government House on North Terrace. The debating coaches are incredibly proud of Samantha's efforts this year and she is truly deserving of such an achievement. Congratulations!

Ethan Hughes

Ethan was recently in Canberra playing within the state team for a weeklong carnival of Football.

The SA Team played QLD, VIC, WA, ACT and NSW, across the carnival and came third overall, in the process defeating VIC, WA and ACT. Ethan thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, with the highlight being a trip to the Australian Institute of Sport.

Ethan and the entire SA Team did themselves, their schools, families and School Sport SA proud, not only with their performances on the field, but also how they conducted themselves throughout the entire week.

Ethan was also recognised for his performance on the field throughout the carnival and was named in the All Australian Shadow Squad. Congratulations Ethan!
