Principal's Report

Dear families,

Congratulations to the fourteen students who represented Toolamba PS in the Division Athletics on Monday in Shepparton. They were Teagan R, Lachy S, Bailey D, Arya M, Mia H, Alexis R, Kaide A, Chase B, Jimmy T, Billy M, Tom C, Jack H, Ava G and Rachael J. We are certainly very proud of your efforts. Teagan, Rachael and Ava have advanced on to Regional Level and will compete on Friday in Albury.

Due to the Shepparton Line Upgrade the Wren Street Crossing will be closed from Monday 16th October to Saturday the 21st of October. Detour routes will be in place via the Cummins Road level crossing for both east and westbound travel. Road users should allow an additional 5 mins for their journey. Pedestrian access over the level crossing at Wren Street will be maintained via a temporary pedestrian crossing.

Once again, we are having our annual Book Fair. A big thank you to Filippa who organises this event each year. The Fair runs from 13th October to the 24th of October. Books can be purchased between 8.30am and 9am in the morning and 3.15-3.45 in the afternoon. Students love having the opportunity to browse through the selection of books. All proceeds from the Fair go directly towards purchasing books for our take home reading program. Eftpos facilities are available.

Wednesday 25th October is the date set for our Diversity Dash. Keep this date free, it is sure to be a fun filled day. The Dash starts at 1.30pm. Our House Captains are designing the course so that it will be more exciting. Parents and Friends will be selling Hot Dogs on this day for $3.50; orders can be placed via QKR.  Grade 5/6 students will be selling Zooper Doopers on the day fo $1.00.  Families are welcome to come along and enjoy the fun.

Rachael Jeffers and her level 5 Jets Gymnastics team competed in Albury last month, winning first place, qualifying them for the Victorian Junior Gymnastics championships. These are held in Geelong this coming weekend, with the best junior gymnasts competing from across the state for title of Victorian champion.

Have a lovely weekend,

Regards Heather
