Student Tour to Japan 2024 Parent/Student Information Session 

Next Tuesday 26 September a parent/student information session will be held in the Lower Hall, from 6:00pm – 7:00pm.

The purpose of this session will be to provide parents and student studying Japanese in Years 9-11 in 2024 with information about the exciting opportunity students have to participate in Southern Christian College’s first Japanese study tour. The tour is planned to run from the last Friday of Term 2 and then during the school holidays, 5 July – 16 July 2024.

Information about the study tour will be discussed in detail, including costings, itinerary, accommodation, airport charges, transport and the initial expressions of interest. Parents and students will have the opportunity to ask questions about the excursion.

A carefully selected program will include visiting Tokyo, Kyoto and Hiroshima. The itinerary includes experiences such as – Tokyo Disney Land, a Maiko and Tea Ceremony Experience, a visit to the site of the first atomic bombing in Hiroshima and listening to the testimonial of a Bomb Survivor. We will visit places of historical and cultural differences, including the ancient city of Kyoto.
