Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,

We have had a wonderful second week back to school.  We had our first assembly of the term on Monday. Thank you to Mrs Brown and her children for sharing their lovely Haiku poems. On Tuesday we had our senior students attending the John Paul College Lightening Premiership round robin and they represented the school with wonderful sportsmanship. Everyone played very well and the mixed netball and the soccer teams brought home the trophy. Thank you to Mrs Ary and the staff for providing this experience for the 5/6  children.

Tomorrow  1/2 children will be visiting the Melbourne Museum  for an excursion about Toys. We hope you have a wonderful time.

We also welcome the 2024 Foundation students for their Super Starter afternoon.

Mrs Winduss has prepared a lovely Mass for tomorrow morning for the whole school. Please join us to pray for a wonderful Term 4.

We wish to welcome to our staff Mrs Dorinna Burns and Mrs Alexandra Reid as full time teachers who will be working with us starting in 2024. Both of these ladies are very experienced in education and will bring a wonderful set of skills to our school community. Welcome to St Anne's.

We move to Summer Uniform this term and as part of that hats are to worn when the children are outdoors. Our recommendation for hats are the Legionnaire Caps as they stay on more effectively. These can be purchased through the uniform company in Carrum Downs.

We have a "No hat, no play" policy.

A reminder that dogs are not allowed on the school grounds. If you bring your dog to school please make sure to tie him/her up outside the gate.

Next week is a big week for our year 6 children who are making their Confirmation. On Wednesday they are meeting the Bishop and on Friday they are going to John Paul College  for the Confirmation retreat day. We wish you all a very Holy day.

In the coming weeks the P&F team will be beginning to prepare for the market day. Please  be prepared to read all information regarding this wonderful community event.

Rod sends his best wishes to all the families and says he is enjoying his time away.

God bless

Sally Thomas

Acting Principal
