Welcome back to term 4! I hope that everyone had a safe and restful break to recharge for the final term of the 2023 school year. 

SunSmart

Just a gentle reminder that ALL students need to wear their school hat this term. As we are a SunSmart school, we take very seriously the need to be sun smart. This includes

• Wearing the approved broad-brimmed Donvale school hat outside
• If students do not wear or have a hat, they will be restricted to play in the designated shade areas
• Encouraging students to come to school wearing the a broad-spectrum water resistant sunscreen (30+) and reapplying it during the day

Donvale School Uniform

In consultation with the school community and School Council, a uniform dress code and policy was developed and ratified last year. The aim was to reinforce in students a sense of pride in their appearance, instilling recognition of themselves as an integral part of the school community, and assist in developing pride in representing their school.  

We have noticed this term that a number of students are beginning to wear items that are not part of the school uniform - different coloured jumpers, footy socks, non approved jewellery items and hair accessories not in the school colours, etc.

Teachers will be reinforcing our uniform policy and we ask that parents support us in ensuring that students to wear their Donvale uniform correctly and with pride. Please familiarise yourself with the DPS Uniform Policy. 

Finally, if your child has specific clothing requirements or you need support to purchase uniforms please contact the office.
