5/6 News…

Production

The whole school of DPS performed a very exciting production last week of Term three. We had a theme of “Read Dream Repeat” this year. We had all kind of opportunities given out to 5/6s all the way down to preps such as being a main character or being in a link piece between each book. We had Harry Potter, Dr Seuss, Giraffes Can’t Dance and quite a few more. We had the grade sixes do a dance with the preps as our opening too! We performed on two nights: Monday and Tuesday, and had Tam to help us with the choreography for a term and two weeks. We all worked hard and made a great performance.

First Week of Term 4

It has been a crazy start to Term 4 this year in 5/6. The grade fives are already looking into grade six jackets, DTV has started and we’re already on our second episode.  AND the grade sixes have been thinking of graduating and graduation songs, we even had our grade six photos!. We’ve learnt so much from our teachers such as; Money and Finance in maths, poem writing and poetry in writing and we have just finished our topic in intergraded, animal adaptions. 

Lastly since the weather is warming up and the UV rating in our Australian springs and summers is high, we’ve all been wearing hats to keep us Sunsmart. We need to do this for the rest of the year.
