Hi all

The Victorian State Athletics Championships were held at Lakeside Stadium, the home of Athletics Victoria on Wednesday.  We had three girls representing St Louis at this best in the state event.  Lucy B won the shot and long jump, then came 4th in the 100m.  Alyssa B came 2nd in the shot put, 3rd in the 100m and 4th in the 200m.  Lucy G came 4th in the high jump.  Very well done girls!

An operoo permission request will go out to all of the Year 3 to 5 families for the St Louis swimming Carnival to be held on Friday 13th December at the Mentone Aquatic Centre.  You will be asked about your child’s swimming ability.  It is so we can grade our freestyle heats with like ability peers.  We will also ask if your child would like to try out other strokes.  Our races are only 25 metres long, or one lap of the pool.  

Our entire school used frisbees this week.  Our preps to Year 2s worked on their backhand throw and “crocodile catches”,  whilst our more senior kids worked on their throwing skills as we introduce them to the sport of Ultimate Frisbee.  

All the best to our Year 6 boys who will be competing in the Region Cricket Finals next Tuesday and the Region Tennis Finals on Wednesdays.  Thank you to all of the parents for your networking and ensuring they are all going to get there and home.
