Assistant Principal's Message
Dear parents and carers,
Only one week to go until the Big Play Out! Our school fair coordinators, Clare and Victoria are working overtime (with their amazing team) this week to bring us the most wonderful day of school year! Bring on the rides, the dunk tank and the sausage sizzle……..
Last week CHPS farewelled much loved staff members, Assistant Principal Nerida Mellerick, classroom teacher Penny Webb and education support staff member Lisa Scott. Each of these people has had a considerable impact on our school community and we thank them wholeheartedly for the contributions to our students and more broadly to our school. We wish them all success in their new endeavours, and they will be missed by all.
Our annual art show was well attended and supported by so many of our students and parents. Congratulations again to our art teachers Clare and Rosy, who year on year, provide our students with a program that not only avails our students the opportunity to artistically shine, but also assists our students in developing a lifelong appreciation of artistic endeavours. Their commitment to fostering creativity in students was evident in every piece that was shown. Whilst it’s not an easy task to put together an event like this, we appreciate the energy and care Clare and Rosy put into the event to ensure it was a memorable experience for all who attended. We thank them both for the time, effort, and passion that went into making the show such a success. We would also like to thank our school community for the continued support of the Friends of Hudad, the fundraising efforts at our art show will support less fortunate students to access basic education needs in Hudad.
Finally, don’t forget to come and say “Hi” at the Cavallini stall next Saturday, I will be there all day with the team from Cavallini, headed up by Natalie and Robert, serving up the best coffee, ice cream and pizza available.
Have a great week,
Susan Williamson-Petrie
