Class 11

Class 11 have enjoyed a fantastic year, filled with creativity, adventure, and hands-on learning. We have had a huge focus on adding and subtracting and calculating change, while we have also improved our public speaking skills by sharing our weekend news every Monday morning. In Geography, we have explored different countries and discovered popular landmarks and cuisines from around the world. We have also performed different cultural dances during weekly dance lessons. Science week was a huge hit as we launched plastic bottle rockets off the ground using bicarb soda and vinegar. Class 11 games of uno and bingo have been very competitive, while the online spelling game ‘Wordle’ has been a popular addition to the term 4 timetable.

We enjoyed a memorable excursion to Funky Farm, where we held, touched and observed a variety of animals, while some students learnt new skills during their work experience placement at the Habitat for Humanity Op Shop in Rosebud. We also made 2 visits to Zone Bowling in Frankston and celebrated theme days, including book week and the Halloween disco with great enthusiasm. Our hospitality students showed tremendous flare in the kitchen, making plenty of tasty dishes, while the Duke of Edinburgh gang were often out and about exercising in local gyms, playing squash and sailing on the bay.

In sad news, we farewell year 12 student Ashton, who has been a popular member of class 11. Ashton participated in the ASDAN program this year and will be sorely missed by his peers and staff. We wish you all the very best for the future Ashton.

Thank you for a great year class 11, have a safe and happy holiday period.
