Year 6 in the Kitchen
Students continue to create nourishing and delicious meals that highlight the fresh seasonal ingredients growing in our garden.
Gyoza
Pastry and dough are always a favourite menu item, providing many hands with work.
Our Pumpkin wanton and vegetable Gyoza's were simply delicious when steamed in our new steaming baskets. The handmade dough was rolled out thinly to be filled and sealed.
Bolani Katchalu
This week we again prepared our own dough with a potato, silver beet and herb filling to create Afghani Bolani Katchalu, served with a Greek yoghurt and cucumber sauce. Pan fried in some olive oil, sprinkled with sea salt, then topped with the yoghurt sauce, students quickly devoured their hard work.
Year Six continue to display fantastic knife skills and work collaboratively with one another.
