Used Toys Stall
The past two weeks have been filled with excitement and preparation as our students geared up for the school fete, with a special focus on our Used Toy Stall. Students brought in toys from home and put on their persuasive hats, creating unique biographies for each toy to entice buyers. Thanks to their creativity and hard work, the stall was a huge success, and many toys found new, loving homes! The classroom was abuzz on Monday morning with students sharing their many exciting stories from Friday’s fete.
Literacy
We have some engaging and interesting topics to cover over the next fortnight. We will be focusing on the comprehension strategies of summarising, synthesising and monitoring and self-correcting, while learning more about recycling and the wonderful world of bugs.
Math
We've been exploring shapes and learning to distinguish between regular and irregular polygons. This unit has been a wonderful lead-in to our upcoming measurement unit, where we’ll continue building hands-on skills with fun, interactive activities.
To the pool
Swimming lessons are also right around the corner! Please remember to sign permission forms on Compass. We would love parent volunteers to help us walk to and from the pool. If you have a current Working with Children Check and some time to spare, please reach out to your child’s teacher to lend a hand.
