From the Acting Principal

I hope everyone enjoyed a restful long weekend and is feeling refreshed as we head into a busy and exciting end to the year. With so many events, celebrations, and activities planned, there’s much to look forward to, and we’re thrilled to be sharing these moments with our school community.

In the coming weeks, our students will be involved in various events that reflect the spirit and enthusiasm of our school. We encourage everyone to stay updated through our newsletters and reminders so you don’t miss a moment.

Church Driveway Drop Off and Pick Up – Child Safety further information

Further to the information in last week’s newsletter, it has come to our attention that some parents are using the church driveway for drop-off and pick-up. We would like to remind all families that driving into the church driveway is strictly prohibited, as it poses a danger to our children.

Please ensure that you park along Severn Street to drop off or pick up your children. This will help us maintain a safe environment for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation in prioritizing the safety of our students.

Parish Driveway for Mass (repeat from last week's newsletter)

To ensure the safety of our children, I have been in discussion with the Parish regarding drop-off and pick-up at the Church Driveway. The Parish has kindly asked that all parishioners avoid using the driveway up until 9am to allow for safe school access.

Please note that the school gate will close by 10 to 9am. After this time, we ask all parents to use the Marwal Avenue entrance for drop-off. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe environment for all our students.

Jess Wilson

MP Christmas Card Competition

We’re thrilled to announce that Jess Wilson has invited St Bede’s students to participate in her annual Christmas card competition! This year, the theme is “How My Family Celebrates Christmas.” Students are encouraged to get creative and illustrate their unique family celebrations for the chance to have their artwork featured on Jess Wilson’s official 2024 Christmas card!

Each child will receive an official entry form. Please fill in the student details at home and return the completed form to the front office by Thursday, 7th November. If you have not returned this today please bring it to the front office first thing Friday morning.

Good luck to all our talented young artists!

We hope everyone enjoys the extended break!

Thank you for your continued support.

Regards,

Larissa
