Celebrating Your Child’s Growth Through Their School Report

We believe strongly in celebrating your child’s journey and achievements throughout the year. School reports are an important way to reflect on how much your child has grown socially, emotionally, and academically. They are a celebration of their hard work, progress, and unique talents.

Our teaching team has dedicated themselves to creating reports that truly capture your child’s achievements and growth over the year. We want these reports to bring joy to your family as they highlight your child’s successes and progress.

What Does the Report Include?

Schools in Victoria are required to report against the Victorian Curriculum F-10 achievement standards. Here’s what that means for you and your child:

  • Achievement Standards: These reflect what students should know and be able to do in each subject area. They are the basis for the reports, providing a clear and consistent measure of achievement. For each key subject area student progression against key skill statements is communicated with parents. This shows where your child is on their learning journey in a specific area. Teachers make well-rounded, evidence-based assessments to determine their placement on the curriculum continuum.

Additionally, we provide skill statements aligned to our four school values – Integrity, Initiative, Respect and Global Empathy and - highlighting their importance and this year we have introduced skill statements for Wellbeing aligned to our Resilience Project foci – Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness and Emotional Literacy.

  • Growth and Progress: Reports show not only where your child is currently but also how much they have grown since the last reporting period. This celebrates the steps your child has taken in their learning journey and represents how much your child has advanced in their learning since their last report.

Designed with Your Child in Mind

Every curriculum area includes descriptions of what is taught, what students are expected to learn, and the standards used to assess their progress. These are carefully aligned with what your child has experienced in the classroom, ensuring the report reflects their unique learning journey.

Student reports will be published online via Compass on the 18th of December. We hope you enjoy reading your child’s report and sharing in the celebration of their hard work and achievements. Let’s continue working together to ensure they feel supported, valued, and excited about their learning journey.
