Student Services : Wellbeing
Welcome to this addition of Student Services Newsletter, bringing you some of the highlights from Mental Health Month over the last two weeks, Pats and Chats and the Silent Disco.
On 29 October, the Wellbeing Team had one of their favourite events of Mental Health Week: Pats and Chats. That’s right; the dogs were back for lots of pats, kisses and cuddles. We had Mo, Charlie and Neo doing the rounds cheering up the NHS student and staff community. We’d like to thank Paws In Schools for collaborating with us again this year to ensure our school community have a great self care moment during the school day!
Last Friday we hosted a Silent Disco for Mental Health Month. The lunch time disco was an opportunity for students to unwind and de-stress during the day and to celebrate improving mental health through music, movement and mindfulness.
The Silent Disco was heaps of fun, with students from all year levels coming to join in on the dancing and laughter. It was a great reminder that taking time to enjoy ourselves and stay connected is an important part of maintaining good mental health.
