Excellence in VET awards

Congratulations Luca and Tallulah

Two of our students recently won awards for excellence in VCE VET (Vocational Education and Training) Subjects.

Luca Healy, Year 11 has been awarded NMVC’s 2024 VET Student Excellence Award for his outstanding achievement in and contribution to VET Engineering at NCAT. Luca completed Units 3 and 4 of VET Engineering this year, and Units 1 and 2 in year 10. As Engineering is one of a dozen scored VCE VET subjects, Luca’s results will contribute directly to his Year 12 ATAR in 2025. Luca has been recognised for his consistently excellent effort, attitude and standard of work. Luca completed an optional related Structured Workplace Learning placement last year and has been a great ambassador for NHS and the VET program during these off-campus learning experiences.

Tallulah Carr, Year 11 has also received NCAT’s 2024 VET Dance (Units 1 and 2) Award for ‘Hardest Working’ student. If you have a dancer in your life, you’ll know this is no small feat, as many motivated dancers train hard every week. Tallulah has received this award for demonstrating consistently outstanding effort and attitude in her training and contribution towards group pieces and one solo performance. When asked about her experiences in VET Dance this year, Tallulah said she has really enjoyed the program and made lots of new friends. She was able to work hard and put herself out there partly because of the supportive environment in NCAT’s VET Dance program.

Congratulations, Luca and Tallulah!
