Grade 3/4 News
On Friday 22nd of November, all 3/4 students from St. Bernard's went to Corowa.
We went to the Corowa Federation Museum, where we learnt about old washing machines, typewriters and phone exchanges.
There was also an old school room, with a very strict teacher, showing students what it was like to go to school in the olden days.
The students also participated in a role play of crossing the river into New South Wales and how their use to be a cost to cross.
This all connected with our learning area of 'History' and all the students were engaged and immersed in the day.
Students also went to the Corowa Chocolate Factory, where we all made chocolate freckles.
This was such a fun experience for all the students, where they poured and decorated freckles.
We also went on a tour and learnt about the history of the building and how many pigeons used to live there!!
Our final stop were some parks, where we played with our friends and experienced a new play space. Everyone had a great day and was respectful and responsible. Here are some photos of our day.
