YEAR 9 CITY EXPERIENCE
Year 9 City Experience: A Journey of Growth
Throughout Term 4, BHCS Year 9 students embraced the excitement and challenges of City Experience every Friday, culminating in a memorable City Camp. This program focused on developing the values of teamwork, independence, responsibility, and respect—qualities our students not only demonstrated but thrived in during this time.
From exploring the creative wonders of ACMI and uncovering history at the Melbourne Gaol to experiencing the vibrant Queen Victoria Markets and reflecting at the Shrine of Remembrance, students gained a deeper understanding of Melbourne’s rich culture and heritage. The Heritage Walk and The Big Issue Classroom offered meaningful perspectives that encouraged critical thinking and empathy.
City Camp was the pinnacle of this journey, providing unforgettable experiences like the MCG tour, Eureka Skydeck, ice skating, and an exhilarating Amazing Race. The students tackled every challenge with enthusiasm, showcasing the phenomenal growth they have achieved this year.
We are so proud of the Year 9 cohort for embracing every opportunity with open hearts and minds. What an incredible way to conclude their Year 9 journey!
