STEM

It has certainly been a busy time across all the Grades in STEM. Students started working on their learning tasks, applying their learned skills to assigned tasks. Our preps started collecting data on the area's weather parameters. In the coming weeks, they will forecast weather, demonstrating their understanding of seasons and weather.

Grade One and Two students extended their learning from Eath’s resources to water. They are working on making water cycle models.

After completing The Earth, sun and Moon unit, Grade Three and Four students started exploring changing Earth’s surface. They started guided inquiries about the events causing the Earth’s surface changes and will communicate their findings to the class. Grade Five and Six students began their inquiry about key features of the solar system. They participated in a STEM incursion about the Milky Way and our solar system to extend their understanding.
