Parent Payment Policy and Voluntary Contributions
Parent Payment Arrangments - Primary
Parent Payment Arrangments - Year 7-12
As a school community, we are looking forward to a new year of teaching and learning and would like to inform you of our voluntary financial contributions for 2026.
Bayside P-12 College is committed to excellence through innovative educational programs to enhance student outcomes, aimed at providing for the needs and interests of our students. We strive to ensure that the cost of items and activities is minimal and affordable for all parents. Each year, College Council meets to consider the school's financial position and prepare a budget to cover the educational programs, administration, facilities, and overall maintenance for the next school year. Although the Victorian Department of Education and Training provides funding to schools, it is not always enough to cover what is required to operate our many excellent programs.
Your contribution is valued and important to ensure that we have the resources and facilities necessary to provide the educational programs of a standard and quality that is expected by our college community.
Schools provide students with free instruction to fulfill the Victorian Curriculum, and we would like to assure you that all contributions are voluntary. The ongoing support of our families ensures that our school can provide the most suitable education and support for our students. We want to thank you for all your contributions, whether that's through fundraising or volunteering your time. Your contributions have made a significant impact on our school and the programs we can offer.
In our college, this support has enabled us to continue to provide for outstanding facilities and resources for our students. Our students have had access to a variety of materials and experiences that has enabled them to create and innovate. Our students’ wellbeing has been strongly supported by our Wellbeing/Mentor Program and School Wide Positive Behaviours.
The College Council greatly appreciates your contributions. I reach out to you to continue to provide your assistance so that we keep adding to the outstanding facilities and resources for our students.

Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF)
Every Victorian child should have access to the world of learning opportunities that exist beyond the classroom. The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund helps ensure that no student will miss out on the opportunity to join their classmates for important, educational and fun activities. It is part of making Victoria the Education State and the Government’s commitment to breaking the link between a student’s financial circumstances and their outcomes.
School camps provide children with inspiring experiences in the great outdoors. Excursions encourage a deeper understanding of how the world works while sports teach teamwork, discipline and leadership. All are a part of a healthy curriculum.
CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school excursions, camps and sporting activities.
If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or support an out of home care student you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families. The allowance is paid directly to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.
The annual CSEF amount per student is $400 for all school students.
If you applied for CSEF at your child's school last year, you do not need to complete an application form this year unless there has been a change in your family circumstances.
You only need to complete an application form if any of the following changes have occurred:
· new student enrolments: your child has started or changed schools this year.
· changed family circumstances: such as a change of custody, change of name, concession card number, or new siblings commencing this year. Check with the school office if you are unsure.

Medication Policy Reminder & Authority to administer
If a student needs to take medication while at school or at a school activity, parents/carers can contact their relevant Campus Office for a Medication Authority Form.
As previously mentioned in our Principal’s Update, please familiarise yourself with our New Families Handbook.
This handbook contains all vital information, including:
- Curriculum and extra-curricular programs
- General school information such as accident/illness and first aid procedures, appointments, attendance and absences, banned items, collection of students, communications, and more
School uniform requirements
We encourage all families to review the handbook carefully to ensure a smooth start to the school year.
Reminder - Collection of Students
If it is necessary to collect your child prior to 3:15 pm, a note must be provided to the Year Level Coordinator first thing in the morning. An Early Leavers’ pass will then be issued.
Parents/carers may notify the school by:
- emailing the Year Level Coordinator or class teacher, or
- contacting the school campus by phone.
Please note that no student will be permitted to leave the school grounds unaccompanied without prior arrangement. An authorised adult must sign the student out at the General Office at the arranged time.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain student safety.
