Principal's Message

Dear Cobram AGS Parents and Carers,
It has been a wonderfully busy and meaningful fortnight at Cobram Anglican Grammar School, with many opportunities for our students to grow, connect and challenge themselves beyond the classroom.
Our Year 12 students began their final year together at Retreat in Beechworth, while our Year 9 cohort embraced the adventure and teamwork of camp at Mount Buffalo — both experiences providing valuable moments of reflection, resilience and strengthened relationships.
Back at school, the Swimming Carnival was a fantastic celebration of House spirit and participation, and it was pleasing to see students encouraging one another throughout the day.
We also gathered as a community for Ash Wednesday Chapel, with Rev’d Roberta Hamilton kindly leading the service — an important time to pause and reflect as we enter the season of Lent. In a similarly thoughtful moment, students and staff came together at the Yarning Circle to acknowledge the 18th anniversary of the National Apology to the Stolen Generations, continuing our commitment to learning, understanding and reconciliation.
Our Junior School Assembly last week was another highlight, recognising student achievements and celebrating the positive way our younger students are embracing their learning.
I am very much looking forward to connecting with many of our families at next Thursday’s Welcome Evening. These opportunities together are an important part of building a strong sense of community.
Keith Willett
