Region Hockey
11 EHPS students competed in the Eastern Metropolitan Region Hockey competition on Friday 16 August. The day of round-robin matches was held at Doncaster Hockey Club, Donvale.
It was an awesome experience to play team hockey last Friday 16th August in the Eastern Region competition. Our team played four matches at Doncaster Hockey Club. We won three matches 4-0 but lost to Mount View Team 1, who were the 2023 State Champions. It was a great day and we came Runners Up which was terrific.
Thanks to Patrick (Max and Marcus’ Dad) for coaching us and Miss Kemp and Ms Hocking for organising the team.
Shout out to all players for awesome teamwork and especially Max, Ryan and Marcus for leading our team.

Region Girls' AFL
21 students represented EHPS and our Division competing in the Eastern Metropolitan Region competition on Monday 12 August. The day of round-robin matches was held at Knox Gardens Reserve in Wantirna South.
On the 12th August the AFL 18’s girls went to regionals to represent Essex Heights. Everyone did an amazing job considering that all the teams had girls that played high level AFL. We unfortunately didn’t win a game, but all the girls fought hard and had fun. We would like to thank our amazing PE teacher Ms Hocking for organising our team. We would also like to thank Ms Steward and Mr Perini for coming along and supporting us. A special thank you to Rif Ahmet, our incredible coach that believed in all of us, the parents and our little assistant coaches Mavi and Alia for helping and supporting us.
