Prayer Journals at Galilee
This term, every student has received a prayer journal. This journal is part of a new approach to school-wide prayer at Galilee. Each week, classrooms will engage in a prayer experience using these journals, led by their classroom teachers.
A prayer journal is a personal space for recording your conversations with God. It doesn't require answers; in fact, it can be overflowing with questions and thoughts, and it would still serve its purpose. Whether the entries are long or short, whether your journal is simple or decorative, there is no wrong way to use it as long as it helps you reflect on God's love.
A prayer journal can feature the following aspects:
- Thanksgiving: Reflect on your day and record what you're grateful for.
- Prayer Intentions: Write down what you're praying for each day; consider who or what situation needs your prayers.
- Prayer Goals: Note which prayer practices you'd like to focus on
- Free-Form: Use the blank pages to express whatever the Spirit puts in your heart.
The aim of this journal is to accompany students throughout their school life, allowing them to reflect on their previous years.
