From the Assistant Principal

Dear Parents,

STAFF NEWS:

Unfortunately Mrs Burfield's health has deteriorated and she will now have to start treatment earlier than expected. She will be finishing at the end of the Term 3. Sydney Catholic Schools are working on an Interim Principal for Term 4 and you will be notified when this has been finalised.  As a school we are currently planning a number of events to say farewell Mrs Burfield. 

Our celebrations will be on Tuesday 24th September, in the form of a special mass commencing at 11.00am. Representatives from Sydney Catholic Schools will be in attendance at this mass. You are welcome to join us for this special occasion. 

As well, the students will be making a special presentation in the afternoon that day, commencing at 2.30pm. All are welcome to attend this celebration as well.

UNIFORM

As the weather changes day by day, students may wear either their winter or summer uniform, depending on the weather conditions. Please ensure students only wear one or the other and not a combination of both. Sport uniform is still only worn on sport days. 

The official change to summer uniform is Monday 14th October.

If you need further information about uniform requirements, please contact the office.

ST PAT'S CHATS

A few years ago, one of our teachers started a podcast site called St Pat's chats where students and teachers spoke about things happening at school, local initiatives and events or just chatted about what they liked about the St Patrick's community. With Mr Sedlak's help, we are starting to add more podcasts. Here is a link to the site.

COLOUR RUN UPDATE

Our Colour Run is next week on Friday 6th September. Students need a white or light coloured shirt for the colour run. Information will be sent home next week regarding final arrangements. Please see previous Compass posts for more information.
