Father's Day Stall - Thank you Parents Club

Thank you to the parents that helped set up, run the stall and wrapped the gifts.  The students were very excited to pick something special for their Dads.  We hope that everyone had a great day and enjoyed their gifts.

 

Parents Club Meeting

A meeting was held on Friday 30th September.  Thank you to everyone who attended and for the continuing support from our parent group.  Parents Club have approved for the school to purchase books that they are wanting to buy to expand our reader books for the students.  They are also looking at holding a movie night at the Cavendish SM Hall on Saturday October 19th.  Further information will be provided closer to the date.

 

Crazy Hair Day - last day of school

A crazy hair day will be held on the last day of Term 3 (Friday 20th September).  A gold coin donation would be appreciated if possible.  Funds raised will be donated to cancer research.

 

Junior Hooptime

What a wonderful day we had on Tuesday for our Junior Hooptime.  The children all tried their best and displayed wonderful sportsmanship.  These were the scores for the day:-

Game 1 - Won 12-3

Game 2 - Draw 2-2

Game 3 - Won 18-0

Game 4 - Lost 10-12

 

Senior Hooptime

Our senior students competed in the Senior Hooptime today.  Thank you to Kate Thomas for transporting in some of our students.  Thank you to everyone who helped score during the day.  We had two teams, a Rookie team and a Future Stars team.  The Rookies team won three out of four games and the Future Stars won two out of three and progressed to the final in which they went down by only 1 point.  Congratulations to all that competed and gave their all.

 

Staffing for Term 4

We are still awaiting confirmation from the Department whether Ms Ferrier will be coming back to Cavendish PS for Term 4.  We will advise families as soon as we hear anything.

 

BIOLAB in Geelong

Our Years 5 & 6 students will be heading down to Geelong on a BIOLAB excursion on Tuesday 17th September.  They will be transported via bus with students from Branxholme, Penshurst, Coleraine, Dunkeld, Merino and Macarthur schools.  Information is on the school app.  Parents will need to get their children into Hamilton and it's an early morning start (6am) so be sure to have an early night the day before!

 

Senior Camp

We are still in the process of confirming all the bookings for our senior camp to Urban Camp in Melbourne.  Information will be forwarded to families as soon as we finalise our itinerary and costings.

 

Class Awards

With the senior students away at Hooptime today we will do the class awards on Monday.
