• Prep/1 - The students are learning how to express preferences. They have memorised the expressions 'j'aime' (I like) and 'je n'aime pas' (I don't like) and are practising with puppets and ten selected French sports.

• Grade 2 - The grammar focus of this Term is the concept of masculine (Boy)/feminine (Girl) words in French. The students know that it applies to all nouns, but they are now discovering that it also applies to adjectives. In the next few weeks, they will apply this knowledge to design and describe their own Olympic mascot.

Grades 3/4 - The students are being introduced to the concept of conjugating French verbs and have memorised the conjugation of verb être (to be) in the present tense.
