This term, we followed the Olympics in Paris and were so proud of what the Aussie athletes achieved. Our kinder learned about different types of sports, countries, maps, and tallying medals. We even hosted our own Potato Olympics, where our potato athletes competed in their special sports.
The police visited us at kinder to teach us about how they keep us safe. This was a wonderful opportunity to discuss our feelings about the police. Some of us initially felt a bit scared, but after learning that the police help our community, we felt much braver about approaching them if we needed help. We also saw the different vehicles and animals that are part of the police force.
Bunnings Warehouse visited us for a planting incursion. We planted herbs and vegetables in old gumboots we had outgrown. We learned about what makes plants happy and are continuing to take care of our special baby plants. It’s been exciting to watch them grow and make plans for what we could cook with them.
