Quiz Night

Our recently held Parents & Friends Association (P&F) Quiz Night was a great success and featured plenty of winners and smiles. The Quiz Night raised a total of $14,742, with funds going toward playground upgrades in the Early Learning Centre. 

On behalf of the P&F, a huge thank you to our school community that attended this event, our sponsors and contributors for their generous donations, and also importantly our wonderful P&F committee and volunteers who helped support and run the event. A special thank you to P&F committee member Michele Dalton for her tireless efforts in coordinating the evening, arranging donations and sponsorships for prizes, ensuring every detail was perfect to make this event a tremendous success. 

The P&F committee had so much fun putting on this event for our school community and expect it will not be the last. If you were not able to attend this event, rest assured that the P&F will look at holding similar events in the future.

Containers for Change

You may have seen the special bins around the school and for each classroom for the Containers for Change program, which the P&F funded in 2021. Funds raised from container deposits covers the upkeep of the bins and goes towards funding similar projects at the School. 

If you have eligible containers at home, please consider donating your earnings to JWACS at container exchange points using our Container for Change details.

P&F Meetings

The P&F meets twice a term on Wednesday nights in the Library Resource Centre from 6:30pm. Our meeting dates for 2024 are:

• Wednesday 4 September
• Wednesday 16 October

All are welcome to attend. Come along and find out what the P&F do or how you can help. We hope to see some new faces.

The P&F are working on other initiatives and events for this year and next and welcome any feedback or ideas you may have. Any parents that would like to contact me can reach out through the JWACS Parents Facebook group or via parentsandfriends@jwacs.wa.edu.au
