All Creatures Great and Small
Both four year old kinder groups attended an excursion to the Wildlife Encounters Park in Cudgee this week. Thankfully the predicted rains didn’t appear, and the children were able to experience hands on our native fauna!
King’s College alumni, Ally, engaged the children with amazing stories about our local wildlife, and together with other volunteers, assisted with children being given the opportunity to touch, hold, or just get up really close and personal with interesting creatures.
We met a shingleback lizard called Ned and a blue tongue lizard called Turbo, a precious baby possum, and a hideous looking snake that apparently was harmless... unless it wrapped itself around you and started squeezing! We had lots of parents helping us with supervision, and it was a special day that never fails to bring joy to us all!
