Wellbeing and Inclusion Update

Wellbeing Day at ARPS

Despite the wet weather, our spirits were anything but dampened during last week’s Wellbeing Day! The day was filled with colour, laughter, and community spirit as we celebrated together with a special Melbourne Cup themed event. A huge thank you to all the families who went above and beyond for our Fashions on the Field parade, the creativity, style, and effort were truly amazing and made the morning so much fun.

In the middle session, students took part in a range of friendship and kindness activities, building on our UR Strong focus of showing empathy, gratitude, and care for others. It was wonderful to see students connecting across year levels, sharing kind words, and learning more about what it means to be a good friend.

After all that excitement, everyone enjoyed a delicious pizza lunch, which was the perfect way to come together and celebrate the sense of belonging that makes ARPS such a special place.

Although the afternoon session was unfortunately cancelled due to the weather, we were thrilled to be able to reschedule the event to Monday 10th November, when we welcomed Kaboom Sports back to our school. The energy and enthusiasm were sky-high as all students, including our kinder children, took part in a range of exciting sporting activities. Students were grouped into mixed-ability teams, working together, cheering one another on, and demonstrating wonderful sportsmanship throughout the afternoon.

At ARPS, student wellbeing is always a priority. Days like this are an important reminder that learning and wellbeing go hand in hand, when students feel safe, supported, and connected, they’re ready to learn and thrive.

A big thank you to our staff, students, and families for helping make Wellbeing Day (and our Kaboom Sports afternoon!) such a fantastic celebration of connection, kindness, and community.
