Road Safety Reminders

Does your child ride a scooter to school?
We would like to bring to your attention an important safety concern regarding the use of scooters by students from our school. We have been advised by community members that they have observed students boarding Bus 507 with their scooter. Once they arrive at their destination, the students have been observed crossing the road in front of moving cars, causing cars to stop suddenly to avoid hitting the children.
To ensure the safety of all students and staff, we kindly ask parents to talk to their child about the importance of riding scooters responsibly. Please remind them to follow all safety guidelines, including:
• Cross the roads at pedestrian crossings or lights
• Riding at a safe speed
• Giving way to pedestrians and traffic
• Wearing appropriate safety gear, such as helmets
We appreciate your support in reinforcing these important safety practices.
