Year level masses
Thank you to all of our families who have attended either a year level mass during the week or a year level mass on the weekend. Celebrating mass together is the most outwardly way that we can say, "God, I love you". Every time we attend mass, we are making a committment to our faith and we acknoweldge that jesus gave up his life for us. Pope Francis stated, “We don’t go to Mass to give something to God, but to receive from him that which we truly need,” and compared it to “Just like a plant needs the sun and nourishment to live, every Christian needs the Sunday Eucharist to truly live,”
As a catholic community, we are committed to continuing to provide this opporunity for our students throughout theb eyar and we encourage families to take up this opporutnity on Sundays as well.
Parts of The Mass
The Basic Structure of the Mass has four parts: two main parts and two framing rites:
- Introductory Rites
- LITURGY of the WORD (Biblical Readings, Homily, Creed, Intercessions)
- LITURGY of the EUCHARIST (Preparation, Eucharistic Prayer, Communion Rite)
- Concluding Rites
