Prep - This term, students will be focusing on Earth and space science; learning about the weather and how it affects our daily lives.  This week, we continued our discussion about seasons. Students watched short videos about each season and identified things that they would see and do for each. They drew pictures to represent their favourite ideas.

Years 1/2 - This term, students will be focusing on design technologies and learning to follow the engineering design process. The focus will be on turning ideas into solutions. This week, students had time to complete their Snail, Ant or Mythical Creature. Students have planned each of their builds and then assessed their completed design solution against pre-defined criteria.

Years 3/4 - This term, students will be focusing on design technologies and following the engineering design process to create suitable solutions to problems. This week, students had time to complete their Zipline portfolio activity, reflecting on the design process from the past few weeks. For the rest of the term, they will learn about 3D design using the program Tinkercad.

Years 5/6 - This term, students will be focusing on design technologies and following the engineering design process to evaluate, refine and improve their solutions. This week, students had time to complete their Balloon Car portfolio activity, reflecting on the design process from the past few weeks. For the rest of the term, they will complete 3D design projects using the program Tinkercad.
